Barometric pressure module

12 June 2011

We've been searching for the best air pressure sensor for a new module for a while - so we're pleased to present our new MOD-1009 based on the fabulous MS5611 sensor from Meas-Spec.

MOD-1009 MS5611 Air Pressure Sensor

It's so sensitive - with 24 bit A-D converters - it can tell by air pressure alone that you've moved in altitude by 10cm.  It also gives you temperature as well in order to give you temperature-compensated pressure. The data is accessed by I2C, so easy to use with any microcontroller.  So if you're interested in creating your own barometer or altimiter - this is a great module to start with.
