Finally, the moment we've all been waiting for - an Arduino form factor, with PIC 32 power, and a free IDE / compiler without Microchip's opaque libraries to deal with... Welcome to the world of the Pinguino!

Of course, a new tool chain is always helped by good libraries - so we will be working with the good folks from Pinguino over the coming months to port the PicPack library in all its goodness across to 32bit glory. It's all very new, but over the next days we expect to see beta releases of the compiler for Windows, Linux is available now. The hardware is available in slim and Arduino compatible form factors in the Pinguino shop. It's very exciting to see this initiative, our hope is the newcomers to embedded electronics can move to 32bit performance quickly and easily with these new tools.
